Take a Hit Off the New 'Pineapple Express' Posters
It's too early to tell whether or not the pot smoking
stunt at the MTV Movie Awards will backfire against
Pineapple Express, the new
Judd Apatow-produced comedy from Superbad
writers
Seth Rogen and
Evan Goldberg. I rather doubt it will do anything but make people want to see it more.
There are no high school kids around this time, just
Rogen and
James Franco playing big time fans of the ganga
who go on the run when they're seen by some really bad people when Rogen and
Franco see something they shouldn't.
There have been a few good pot comedies, which in a way
is strange, because to the core audience, it really doesn't need to be
all that funny to be effective. The one advantage this has over any other pot
comedy I can think of is that it's a big summer movie with lots of money thrown
at the marketing. Dazed and Confused just kind of showed up.
Here are the latest posters for the movie with the
awesome tagline, "Put this in your pipe and smoke it."
