First Look at Will Ferrell in 'Land of the Lost'

We should've known years ago when Will Ferrell appeared as a character named Marshal Willenholly in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back that this day would come. Personally, I'm glad we're getting a big screen Land of the Lost, and I'm supposing it will be a send-up of a show that seriously needs it.

I mean, come on, did you ever see Sleestaks shoot those bows and arrows? Really good if you're hunting something 16 inches away. And Chaka? You can't take this stuff seriously. Anybody remember, by the way, that actor Wesley Eure was only credited as "Wesley" on the show? Very 70s, that.

Now we're getting our first look at the new Land of the Lost, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. It doesn't reveal a whole lot, true, but just the mere fact that it's on the way and it might be over the top is good enough for me.

We're livin' in the Land of the Lost on July 17th, 2009.
