New Trailer for Alexandre Aja's Freaky 'Mirrors'
I saw this new trailer for
Alexandre Aja's
Mirrors before The X-Files movie this week and
I have to say, it's really hard to focus on the scary when
Paula Patton is on screen. What a beautiful
woman. So, I tended to block out a lot of what they wanted me to see just
waiting for Paula to show up again. If you saw her anywhere, it was in 2006 when
she appeared with Denzel in Deja Vu and was the female lead in the
disastrous OutKast movie, Idlewild.
She's not the big star of Mirrors, of course; she
plays
Kiefer Sutherland's wife as the entire family
starts getting tormented by the mirrors where Kiefer has taken a job as a
security guard. I've had a chance to watch the trailer again, and it's pretty
unsettling stuff. I think Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes)
may have a hit on his hands. He's a really talented director; one day, I'd like
to see what he can do outside the genre, but I think he's probably the best
young horror director out there.
Creepy stuff, so if you don't like creepy stuff, I'd be
happy to direct you to news updates about
Verne Troyer's sex tape. OK, maybe that's not
the best idea, either.
Incidentally, I feel compelled to tell you that you can
actually see Paula Patton before Mirrors, starring opposite Kevin Costner in
Swing Vote. Mirrors arrives in theaters
on a very busy August 15th.

Response: Squirt partyI haven\'t had a chance yet to check out Glamaris , a Stafford shop that specializes in vintage clothing, trendy denim, handbags and jewelry. It\'s on my list of new places to visit and this weekend might be the ideal time. Merchandise will be marked 50 to 70 percent off Saturday ...

Mmm.. Poltergeist III did this mirror bit, it seems the trick still has the same distrubing affect.
