Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 8:23AM Comic Con Trailer for 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'
I hold the minority opinion that
X-Men is better than
X2. I understand why: I'm a sucker for origin
stories. Little did I know then that X-Men is only an origin story up to
a point.
Obviously, having grown up with the Marvel comic books,
I knew that there was more to the story to be told, but the X-Men trilogy
was unique at the time because it had the ensemble of heroes. However, it became
clear that one hero stood out from the rest, and now he's getting another
origin story, pre-X-Men, meaning Wolverine now has two backstories.
Hugh Jackman returns and he's joined by a pack
of really talented actors including
Liev Schreiber,
Danny Huston, and
Ryan Reynolds. Plus, the Comic Con trailer
(heavily bootlegged; we'll get the crisp and clean version later) does more than
most teasers. There's plenty of action, plenty of setup, and plenty of Logan.
Hard to screw up that formula, I'm thinking.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine opens Summer 2009 on
May 1st.

Uh yes, very very yes. Also, in case you missed it. Gambit is most defiantly in this movie.
Looks very well done. BUT...... Sabertooth is supposed to be much taller/stronger, whereas Wolverine is supposed to be shorter ( 5'3").
Leiv Schreiber looks great, he totally bulked up for this role. Looks like he'll do a great Victor Creed / Sabretooth.
My question is, why is Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) not wearing a mask? I really hope he ends up with the mask on before the end of this movie.
I agree with Calvin, Deadpool should be wearing a mask. Maybe he will get his face scarred in the film, then he will wear a mask.
Except he doesn't actually become Deadpool until AFTER Weapon X...
This looks awesome. Can't wait.....Deadpool, Gambit and of course Wolvie! Who can ask for anything more!
this movie is going to be BADASS!!!!
cant wait!!!!
