Go, Go, Go, Godzilla!

Where do I get some of these?
Check out the extremely cool Godzilla pop art by
Australian landscape designer and artist Tom Kristensen. These are woodblock
prints - called moku hanga in Japan - meaning they're all self-carved and
self-printed on washi paper in Japanese pigments to give it a look of incredible
authenticity. That's what makes the little narrative bends in each of them so
cool.
Enjoy the rampage of Godzilla.

You can see more or Tom Kristensen's work at Saru Gallery, and Pop Art Machine has enormous versions of some of his works (like 7MB images) that you could print out on your own. Answers the question of how to get a hold of them but not how to thank Kristensen for his efforts or pay him, but we're certainly glad he's out there doing this.

Something about image # 4 doesn't sit quite right with me...
What on EARTH is Godzilla doing to that poor bear???
Thanks for posting this: the woodblocks are amazingly detailed and Kristensen is one incredible talent-- I especially dig the last three and wow, that link to the Saru Gallery is filled with more gorgeous work. I'm so bad at art that my friends refuse to play Pictionary with me so I'm completely in awe! Go, Go, Go, Godzilla? More like Go, Go, Go, Tom Kristensen. Super cool.
