'Nick and Norah's' Finite Trailer
Friday, August 1, 2008 at 1:10AM
I'm pretty excited to see how the careers of
Michael Cera and
Kat Dennings play out. He, of course, is George
Michael Bluth, and I don't care if he's 50, that's never going to change. But
aside from Arrested Development, Cera has been great in Superbad
and Juno.
She impressed me by holding her own with Robert Downey
Jr. and Anton Yelchin in Charlie Bartlett earlier this year, but you
would more than likely know her as Catherine Keener's daughter in The
40-Year-Old Virgin. I think both of them will be around a long time, and
Cera has one of the more unique subtly comedic delivery in show business, even
if he is only 20.
Together, they're the Nick and Norah in the upcoming
comedy
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. I can only
hope the character names are a tip of the hat by the authors of the book,
Rachel Cohn and
David Levithan, to Nick and Nora Charles from
The Thin Man. The new trailer has been released (thank you,
MovieWeb), so we're all jump up happy to share
it with you, and just so there's a notarized record of this, I predict big sales
for the soundtrack. The kids'll dig it.
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist arrives on
October 3rd.
