Watch Some 'Tropic Thunder' Clips Before It Opens Tomorrow

For the second straight week, the big new release will tiptoe around the Olympics, opening on Wednesday instead of Friday. So that means Tropic Thunder, the suddenly-controversial war movie comedy with Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr., opens tomorrow (and we'll have a review for you, to boot.) To prepare you for what is at worst the second-funniest movie of the summer, here are a few clips from Trailer Addict and Movie Web, featuring all of the principals. They play actors from different parts of the Hollywood spectrum: Stiller is the action hero, Black is the flatulent comedian, and Downey is the award-winning master thespian. That they would all come together under these circumstances, in the most expensive war movie ever made, is something of a surprise. That the problem immediately and irreversibly goes haywire is not. I'm already casting my 2008 MVP vote for Robert Downey, by the way.
