Delayed Family Cop Movie 'Pride and Glory' Gets a Release Date, New Trailer

prideandglory1_large.jpgOne of the victims of the recent shuffling of New Line, a move long overdue in some people's eyes, was the family drama Pride and Glory, starring Edward Norton and Colin Farrell. Originally, this movie was supposed to open in March, but it's now set to go, having been repurposed by the parent company, Warner Bros. Ain't conglomerates grand?

Pride and Glory is a cop movie with a scandal - aren't they all? - and Norton's clan has been in blue for generations (Jon Voight plays his father). He's investigating a bit of the ol' police corruption when he stumbles onto clues that lead back to his brother-in-law (Farrell).

It sounds vaguely similar to last year's We Own the Night, with one brother and the father on the right side of the law, and another brother running afoul of it. Maybe that had a little something to do with moving the film back a few more months, too.

Of course, Worst Previews, the source for this trailer, says that there was talk we'd never see the film, although I don't specifically remember ever hearing that.

So put this one back on your calendar: Pride and Glory will finally open on October 24th.
