Movie Trailer - 'Transporter 3'

It's Jason Statham Day here at The Big Picture. Death Race is in theaters today - and we actually didn't hate it, surprise, surprise - and now IGN has a bunch of images from Transporter 3 you can check out as well as a new trailer.

Admittedly, I'm not the biggest Statham fan. The first Transporter only kept my attention because of the delicious damsel Qi Shu, and the second one was just so silly. On the plus side: No shirtless oil wrestling. Seriously, anybody who has an aversion to Brokeback Mountain but thinks the first Transporter totally kicks ass needs to pay closer attention to that fight scene in the garage.

But now we're up to the third Transporter, and the trailer's got plenty of action, sure, but I'd like to propose a hypothetical situation if I may: Let's suppose you're an underworld figure who wants something moved from place to place. You could call a courier, but you want it done discreetly, so somebody recommends Frank Martin. Then you do a little research, find out how many buildings he's exploded and cars he's crashed, just from the events in the first two films. Would you ever hire this guy to take care of something for you? I mean, honestly, what kind of references could he have after wrecking multiple cities?

Certainly by the time the third movie comes around, the book would be out on this Frank Martin character. But I digress.

Transporter 3 will rev its engine on November 26th. I leave you with one final thought: You know, these movies have never done exceptional business. I say, take advantage of the early opening date and about a week before the movie opens, change the name to Transporter: Revenge of the Fallen. If enough people aren't paying too much attention, they'll just think Transformers swapped seasons with Harry Potter. There's a lot of that going on right now. Plus, Statham generally displays all the emotional depth of a robot. And that idea, my friends, is a potential goldmine.

Or a potential lawsuit.
