This Bootlegged Trailer for 'Monsters vs. Aliens' Rules
Monday, August 4, 2008 at 2:13AM
Ordinarily, we try to stay away from bootlegged trailers
as much as we can. Not because it's illegal to show them (I think I have the Pentagon
Papers decision on my side there...or something), but because the quality of the trailers is
understandably poor in a lot of cases.
However, I've decided to make an exception for
Monsters
vs. Aliens, a Dreamworks 'toon due out next year. The recording is so-so at
best, with a terribly annoying clicking sound for the first half of it. My
apologies about that. But I wanted you to see this trailer for a couple of
reasons. For starters, it's damn funny. For another, the whole thing is
essentially one scene from the film. Or at least it could be a scene from
the film. It could also be just an exceedingly clever but direct teaser trailer.
Either way, it establishes everything you need
to know about Monsters vs. Aliens without ruining the fun.
MvA, as the kids call it, has a great cast:
Seth
Rogen,
Reese Witherspoon,
Kiefer Sutherland,
Rainn Wilson,
Paul Rudd,
Hugh Laurie,
Will Arnett, and
Stephen Colbert, who, oddly
enough, is playing the President.
Monsters vs. Aliens opens on March 27th.

Thanks for temporarily lowering your quality standards to post this.. It looks like it's going to be awesome!
Dang it, I was really looking forward to this movie, but they turned it into a political satire. 'Cause that's what the kiddies want! Political f**king satire.
I guess I should have seen it coming when they cast Stephen Colbert as the president...
Many thanks for posting this. I came across this Page via the Internet Movie Database. Looking forward to the movie coming out in March 2009!
Just saw this last weekend at a preview screening. A lot of the movie was really rough, definitely not finished, animation not completed yet. Even some scenes with just story boards still, with voice overs. Regardless, it's going to be one heck of a funny film. My kids, 7, 11, 13 LOVED it! Really looking forward to it. It's FULL of humor. A lot of it was predictible, but still hilarious.
Damn, I can't wait for this. Who ever cast Stephen Colbert as the presidant is a genuis. He is so funny on his show that you kno this must be good. I cant wait for it.
I saw this movie at an early screening just this last weekend. I loved it. But same as what "RyannesMom" said. It was about 75% finished but it was still hilarious and heartwarming just like any other dreamworks like WALL-E or Shrek. Id recommend this movie to anyone. when it comes out GO SEE IT!
