'Watchmen' Video Journal #5: The Owlship

The monthly online journal dedicated to
Watchmen is getting cooler with each new
installment. We still have six more to go after this month, and the past two
have been quite interesting.
Last month dealt with the color palette in the graphic
novel and how director
Zack Snyder was transferring those colors -
much the way he did in 300 - to the big screen. This month, we go inside
the Owlship, which plays a big part in Nite Owl's storyline, of course, and was
also one of the showstoppers at Comic Con last month.
You know, as big a hit as this movie was at Comic Con, it's
worth wondering how much the publicity it generated there will carry over into
the next few months. Did it put enough wind in the movie's sails that it doesn't
need to rely as much on conventional marketing beginning a couple months before
its debut? Or it the buzz all the more reason to have a huge marketing campaign?
