Movie Trailer - Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. in 'The Soloist'

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'...The Soloist stars Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Oscar nominee and all-around badass Robert Downey Jr., and is directed by Joe Wright, who in my opinion displayed a faster learning curve between his first and second films (Pride and Prejudice and Atonement) than any other major director in recent memory. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'... In The Soloist, Jamie Foxx plays a musician who dreams of playing Walt Disney Concert Hall, the unmistakable, beautiful masterpiece created by architect Frank Gehry. He's also a homeless schizophrenic. Not Frank Gehry, the musician. Oh, and it's based on a true story. They sure do get all awards-happy for movies like this. Again, I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'... The Soloist arrives in theaters on November 21st.

This sort of film lives and dies with its characters. If they present them well and make them interesting then it'll be brilliant. If not, it'll just give you a numb ass.

It's good to see that Jw Wright is venturing outside the safe english period drama fold. I just hope it's nowhere as boring as the first ten minutes of Atonement and just as engaging as the rest of it.
