Movie Trailer - Reese and Vince Celebrate 'Four Christmases'

Unfortunately, we deal with a lot of rumors when covering even the most unsavory corners of show business. Some you have to take with a grain of salt (Cher playing Catwoman) and others you tend to believe even if there's no empirical evidence (*cough* Ryan Seacrest). So when the rumor mill spat out a little item about the upcoming movie Four Christmases, it was easy to take at face value.

The rumor: Stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn didn't get along. The story goes that Vince would show up a little late to the set, maybe more than a little late, and since the film is peopled with some of his bestest buds (Jon Favreau, Peter Billingsley), it was kind of "his" movie set. This, apparently, didn't sit well with Reese, who is famous for exhibiting the exact opposite behavior. I buy this rumor. Those things make sense to me.

Now the byproduct of those rumors is about to hit theaters, and despite the fact that he made Fred Claus, Vaughn is doing another holiday comedy. There are a couple things in the trailer I didn't necessarily expect: Robert Duvall, a few of the comedic high points (Favreau as a UFC fighter), and it could be one of those small surprises. On the flip side, you wonder how many of the film's best jokes are in the trailer, and if the real fun might have been watching the oil and water mixing on the set.

Four Christmases opens November 26th, and I think both of them could use a hit. But will they deserve it?

On a related note, I saw this picture while be-boppin' around the internet this week. So, you know, just because...
