Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1:40AM Trailer - Meryl Streep Leaves No Doubt in 'Doubt'
We've heard plenty of noise about The Dark Knight and its Oscar chances. But
you know one category that's wide open? Best Actress. That is...until this
possible front-runner.
I don't think I'm making a big leap to say that
Meryl Streep has as good a
chance as any actress this year of being nominated. As we know, there's not an
actor alive or dead with as many nominations, but the asterisk is that Streep
hasn't won an Oscar in over 25 years. But I just watched this trailer for the
religious drama
Doubt and I'm pretty convinced she's got this acting thing down.
Streep plays the stern Sister Aloysius, who believes one of the priests in
her Catholic school (Philip Seymour Hoffman) has abused a black student. She
also believes that this priest is dangerous because he represents change. And
look out for Amy Adams, a far cry from Enchanted.
Here's the powerful new trailer, direct from
Trailer Addict:
See what I mean? When Meryl Streep really wants to, she can knock it right
out of the park.
Doubt was directed by its Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright,
John Patrick Shanley, and it will be released on December 14th.

It`s so good, even just in trailer. Can`t wait to see it soon.
Meryl Streep for a Best Actress, too soon but i think she`ll ended up with a nominee spot.
Philip Seymour Hoffman always caught my attention since Capote
Amy Adams Best Supporting Actress? Absolutely.
I haven`t seen it yet but there are no Meryl Streep`s films that dissapoint me.
The premise of the story itself is absolutely briliant.
Can`t wait to see it soon.

Meryl Streep never fails to disappoint and if the trailer is any proof, this will be no exception. It's most definitely time for her third Oscar and it looks like she'll get it with this one.
That looks like good stuff, it just made the list.
