Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 7:22PM New Behind-the-Scenes Featurette for 'The Soloist'
This past week,
the official trailer for
The Soloist was released online. The movie is
based on a true story of a homeless musician, his dream to play one of the great
concert halls in America, and the newspaper reporter who became his greatest
supporter.
Jamie Foxx plays Nathaniel Ayers, who Steve
Lopez (Robert
Downey Jr.) discovers playing a cello with only two strings. Their
unlikely friendship fueled a series of articles written by Lopez and eventually
a book. The film is directed by
Joe Wright (Atonement), and should
feature some pretty good leading performances.
There's a new featurette with all the prinicipals -
Ayers and Lopez, Wright, and Downey and Foxx - that will help shed a little more
light on the movie and the remarkable story at its center.
Look for The Soloist on November 21st.

Looks quite intriguing - thanks for sharing. Could this join the popular sub-genre of heartwarming musician stories...?
