Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 12:00PM Amazing Trailer for Animated 'Fears of the Dark'
This is one of the best trailers I've seen all year, so
now that it's about to hit American audiences right between the eyes, I thought
I'd share it.
The movie is called
Fears of the Dark, and it's an animated
anthology about things that go bump in the night. Even better: It's a black and
white animated anthology, which immediately gives it added texture and
bleakness. Definitely the way to go for something like this. It's cool it is to see animation that isn't just a Pixar movie or one intended for people under the age of eight. Adults grew up with animation, and it's the success of movies like this and Persepolis that will help it continue to grow as a storytelling art form.
Fears of the Dark is the product of many
writer-directors,
Blutch,
Marie Caillou, Pierre
Di Sciullo, Jerry
Kramski,
Lorenzo Mattotti, Richard
McGuire, Michel
Pirus, and Romain
Slocombe.
