Keira Knightley, Eva Mendes Hearken Back to 'Last Night'

Variety reports that Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes will play the women in Sam Worthington's life in Last Night, the directing debut of its screenwriter, Massy Tadjedin.

Knightley will play Worthington's wife and Mendes a colleague with whom he goes on an out-of-town business trip. While he's resisting temptation on the road, Knightley bumps into an old lover, played by Guillaume Canet. It sounds like there will either be a lot of sex or none at all.

Tadjedin is an up and coming writer, whose Wednesday is being produced by DreamWorks; she is also reportedly writing an untitled script for Steven Spielberg. She also wrote the script for Knightley's 2005 film, The Jacket.

Perhaps the best news in all of this is that Keira Knightley doesn't have to wear a wig and corset to make this movie. It's about time.
