Jonah Hill Outtakes from 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' DVD

Forgetting Sarah Marshall will show up on DVD on September 30th, and for my money, it's the most satisfying and believable of the Judd Apatow movies. Of course, what does that even mean anymore? Apatow has his name on about a half-dozen projects a year, but he's only directed two movies. As a producer, he's brought a lot of great young talent to the forefront, most notably Seth Rogen and Jason Segel, who wrote the screenplay for Sarah Marshall and stars in it as well.

Apatow movies do have a few commonalities; there are usually drug references, there's masturbation and odd male nudity, and there's a lot of cross-pollination, meaning you'll see one actor from movie A wind up in a small role in movie B. Or in the case of Paul Rudd, pretty much in every movie in the alphabet.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall milked a few funny scenes out of Jonah Hill from Superbad. He plays the none-too-helpful hotel employee at the resort where Jason Segel goes to escape his ex- (Kristen Bell), but winds up being confronted by her everyday, because she chose the same resort for her vacation.

Here's a quick compilation of Jonah riffing from the deleted scenes on the Sarah Marshall DVD, which we found hanging out with the cool kids at Empire.

Sarah Marshall is funny, poignant, and as I said earlier, more believable than the other Apatow movies. Even the naked breakup scene in the beginning seems plausible. That's probably because it is. When actress Linda Cardellini dumped Segel, he thought she was coming over for sex and got prepared. What followed is re-enacted in the film.
