Trailer - Kate and Leo in 'Revolutionary Road'

It's impossible not to look at the pieces and consider Revolutionary Road an Oscar front-runner. Let's line up all of those pieces, shall we? A National Book Award winner in 1962, an Oscar-winning director (Sam Mendes), and a proven pair of lead actors, one with three nominations (Leonardo DiCaprio), and the other the youngest actor ever with five (Kate Winslet). Seven-time nominee Roger Deakins, arguably the best director of photography in the business, is the cinematographer, and eight-time nominee Thomas Newman composed the score.

That's a lot of envelopes. Oddly enough, the only Oscar win belongs to Sam Mendes. That number goes up to three when you add costume designer Albert Wolsky, who has six nominations counting his two wins.

The point is, this is very likely to be an masterfully crafted film. We finally have the first full trailer for Revolutionary Road, and here it is, courtesy of Rope of Silicon:

Revolutionary Road will get the customary late December Oscar push when it's released in selected cities on December 26th.
