Producer
John Davis, touting his new film
The Express, recently opened up to
Collider
about a number of different projects, including
The Sims movie, that remake of
Jason and the Argonauts, and a possible third
Predator flick.
Of Jason, Davis reports that
Zak Penn
is writing the screenplay and "one of the biggest" directors ever is interested.
He neither confirmed nor denied that the director in question was Steven
Spielberg.
The Predator threequel is pretty interesting,
too. It was Davis' first film credit as a producer, and he has since gone on to
get behind over 75 movies since. But he says there's interest in another
Predator movie from someone you'd think would have to be involved.
"Well,
the Governor
has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor, if he doesn’t run for
the Senate and all of that stuff, he’d like to do a movie or two again. And I
don’t know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise," said Davis,
who we can assume is pretty bad at poker.
"We’d have to come up with a really good
script and a really great angle on it, but Predator was the first movie I
was ever involved with, so it’s always going to have a really soft spot in my
heart." Davis added that "we’ve logically done what we could’ve done" with the
AVP franchise, so that's probably dead.
But a third Predator? What would a
65-year-old Arnold do there? I guess if Stallone can go back to Rambo, we
can't condemn Schwarzenegger for doing the same thing. All I ask is that Jesse
Ventura still hasn't found time to bleed.

Arnold can have a cameo, he just cant cut it against a predator now.
Still I would prefer more AVP, only more like "aliens" and set in the future, centered around some colonial marines.
65 year old Dutch as a patient in veterans mental hospital envisioning nuclear Predator holocaust. Kathy Holmes as a young psychiatrist, trying to make him sane again.
