Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 10:28PM New 'Saw V' TV Spot and Unsettling Euro Poster
Perhaps I'm just missing something really obvious, but
it makes no sense to me why
Saw V is coming out on October 24th instead of
on Halloween. The 31st is on a Friday this year, and it would be the first time
a Saw movie could be released on All Hallow's Eve, but instead they're
leaving that weekend for Rocknrolla and Zack and Miri. There is the horror flick The Haunting of Molly Hartley, but I mean, for the past couple of years the frachise has used the slogan, "If it's Halloween, it must be Saw," or words to that effect. Only it's not.
That's what I get for thinkin', I guess.
Anyway, it's October 24th, and here's the new French
movie poster for Saw V. It is not, I repeat, not attractive.
And we have the first TV spot for the cinquel, as well.
It debuted earlier today o'er at
JoBlo. Check it out.
So celebrate Halloween a week early with Saw V on
October 24th. Someone really needs to explain that to me.

I can not imagine watching one of these movies, let alone five.
For anyone who is about to ask what it says, stop, I'll write it here before anyone asks.
"Did you really think it was over?"
Yeah maybe not that exciting but at least now you know what it means.
Maybe they're thinking that by opening a week early they'll have a bigger two-weak total.
The first one was very watchable, the others are just kinda there. Is it the pre-holiday theme, thats why it's out early. You know how they will put chirstmas stuff up the day after halloween. It's the rule now, it's Novemeber time for chirstmas (no market on thanksgiving...yet). October at least says halloween, hell it's still a more then a month away and thought it was sooner since I have been seeing halloween stuff up already. So put Saw in October as much as you can, cause the market will be pushing christmas and cheers come November first.
I still haven't seen #4, so I'll hold out on watching this, as much as I'd like to. Spoilers suck; even more so if you're standing in line anytime AFTER opening day... or worse, the first showing... "OMG! I can't wait to see the part where (insert shot-by-shot description of climactic scene of movie) again!!! Dude, that was SICK!!!!" If this has never happened to you, it's probably because you're the one everyone else in line wishes would shut the fleep up!
