Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 9:53AM Jackie Chan Considering 'Beverly Hills Ninja 2'?
How can
Jackie Chan need cash? Surely, that's the only
reason this story could've made it this far. If you were in his position, would
you even field a call from producers of
Beverly Hills
Ninja 2?
Then again: Around the World in 80 Days.
But yes,
Cinema Blend cites multiple independent
sources confirming that Chan is on the radar for Ninja Dos, dangling the carrot of
playing the Mr. Miyagi/Yoda character. He would join a cast that already
includes
High School Musical's
Lucas Grabeel
and David
Hasselhoff.
I'd pay not to see this movie.
Blend also says that a "big announcement" is scheduled
for sometime in early October, presumably to update the film's status and the
cast. I know Jackie has taken quite a few shots to the head over the years, but
if he takes this project, I'll lose a lot of respect for him. It was starting to dwindle
anyway over the past five years or so, thanks to his succession of average to
bad action comedies.
Just stay home, Jackie. I'd rather watch you count your money for two hours than see you in this.

Colin Boyd obviously doesnt know what he is talking about and is a typical westerner talking about the worlds number one action star with little respect. I can only assume he only watches Jackie's US movies, which are inferior to be fair (Shanghai Knights was good), but has never seen his HK movies...most likely because he cant be bothered to read english subtitles with his lazy ass job sitting and reviewing people with no respect.
Jackie Chan is no Stallone or no Vin Diesel. Or any other tough guy star. He likes to entertain, yes he likes goofing around. And thats why hes been making more family orientated movies in the US. Around the World was a good family film. Since when do box offfice results affect an audiences liking of a movie? The Dark Knight was a huge hit...did I like it though? Hell no! (bored the hell outta me with Batman taking himself seriously in that costume)
Jackie Chan is currently releasing a new movie in Asia called the 'Shinjuku Incident'...did you even know that? It's coming out in October. IT is a serious drama and in the lat 5 yrs hes been making successful hits such as New Police Story, The Myth and Rob-B-Hood. Do your homework Colin. I seriously doubt he'd be making this film. He's agreed to making The Spy Nxt Door, only to entertain his us fans. its coz westerners dont feel that he can carry a movie by himself which is why he gets teamed up with dumbass co-stars. Jackie Chan would own if he could direct one last action movie in the US. The US really needs to learn how to make action movies...relying to much on CGI.
And Jackie doesnt spend time counting his money, he actually holds his own charity around the world. He is also a singer (just released an album for the Beijing olympics as he is the ambassador), as well as many other talents as he likes to help people. So you theory of jc needing cash is bull.
How did you get this job?
I couldn't agree more... Jackie is number one
Thank you. You took the words right out of my mouth. Jackie Chan would be pleased. Btw, The Myth is a masterpiece.
