After being a rumored project for who knows how long,
Alice in Wonderland will finally get a live
action film adaptation, courtesy of director
courtesy of director
Tim Burton,
who is filming the movie now in England.
Plenty of actresses have been linked to the role in the
past, but it's going to be a relative unknown,
Mia
Wasikowska, who goes down the rabbit hole. Burton's vision of the
film includes motion capture once she enters Wonderland, while the rest of the
film will be live action 3-D. And it was officially announced this week that
Johnny Depp
will be the Mad Hatter (although it had been unofficially announced months
earlier).
INF Daily has a few more pics of Mia as Alice,
but we thought we'd show you what we've got so far.

Alice in Wonderland will be released on March 5,
2010.

Well, having finally seen Sweeney Todd, I is changed my mind aboud dis.
If Burton can keep up the superb visual standards of Sweeney Todd, then he'll create a very viewable version of Alice.
What bothers me slightly is that Alice is highly allegorical while Burton seems to favour style over substance.
The depth of the story might be lost in a visual feast.
she's too old. alice is seven and a half years old
i really fuckin hope that it'll be realized that "alice in wonderland" is a huge fuckin thing to be messin with. if burton or who ever is goin to make the large ass attempt to reenact this classic literature/ film, they just need to keep in high concideration of the features held in what alice in wonderland fan's and poeple who juss love and adore it to its near death perspective. the whole idea goin into alice's adventures are to be completely psycedelic, acid trip, young london school girlish, trippy, and the entire wonderland theme. i just hope they do a good job.. and im kinda worried on the part of johnny dep playing the madhatter, i also am worried that it will give the reputation of lewis carole's literature and the walt disney film a down fall if not done right. it has to be a fucking masterpiece, not another it turned out ok or it was a disapointment for alice lovers/fan.... just sayin though.
hmm... Alice IS older, but look what Burton did with Mrs. Lovett, he made her younger and Bonham Carter was the best for that role! I look forward to this, and maybe Burton'll change some things up a bit, but its usually for the better. And Depp was a good choice for the Mad Hatter as well.
I think she will be a great "Alice," but I do wish that they had left her hair straight... just to be more like the original! Looking forward to the film, though!
Everywhere I read it seems like everyone's all excited about Tim Burton doing "Alice"... Have you all managed to repress "Charlie and the Choclate Factory" that successfully? If so, can anyone offer me some tips on how to do so?
i think it will be create. this is something tim burton can really do justice to! i'm just SUPER SUPER glad that helena bonham carter will be playing the red queen!!!! SHE'S THE BEST!!!!! no one could do it like her! with a cast this good i just don't see how the movie can be bad!!
alice in wonderland has always been dark. the origanal novel was so twisted that origannly was banned from schools and was burned by christians. i think tim burton will do a marvoulse version
of the real alice in wonderland. for the orgianal story was NEVER MEANT FOR CHILDREN. those
of us who actually spent time reading the novel would know that alice in wonderland was written
when the authour was soo high he could touch the moon lol. I just hope its not another
feel good movie but i highley dobt that with tim burton directing. btw johnny deep as the mad hatter
genuise!!! i couldnt think of any other actor to get the proper persona!!!!!
