New Images from Animated 'Wonder Woman' DVD

Though it's still not the Wonder Woman movie DC Comics should be bringing us, there will be a new animated film released on DVD on March 3rd. Called simply Wonder Woman , it features a pretty big cast for this kind of thing, with Keri Russell voicing the heroine, along with Nathan Fillion, Rosario Dawson, Virginia Madsen, Alfred Molina, and Oliver Platt.

Writer Michael Jenelic told IESB recently that the film is "sort of a romantic comedy mixed with 300."

"That’s what Wonder Woman really is," he elaborated, "a very simple sort of love story that’s frequently comedic, primarily in the pairing of these two key characters, set against a backdrop of so much violence and action.”

We got our first look at Wonder Woman on the Batman: Gotham Knight DVD, and now MTV has a few images from the flick:

I wonder if whether this DVD is successful will have anything to do with accelerating a live action film that is years overdue. Let's hope something moves that project forward.
