Hilary Duff Remaking 'Bonnie and Clyde'?
Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 4:28PM
Production Weekly has missed the mark in glorious fashion before - saying Paul Greengrass would replace Spielberg to direct The Trial of the Chicago Seven and putting the third Batman movie in front of cameras this spring - so we won't hold our breath that this is confirmed. However, the trade publication is reporting that Hilary Duff will take on the Faye Dunaway role in a remake of Bonnie and Clyde.
Curiously enough, The Duff posed for a photo shoot recreating the classic 1960s film, which along with The Graduate and a couple other films around that time, kind of ushered in a new era of American filmmaking.

Cinema Blend says that PW mentions Tonya S. Holly in the director's chair for the remake, which would also star Kevin Zegers, Natalie Canerday, and Rance Howard. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this movie gets remade this year or ten years from now. But Hilary Duff? Wow, I think I'd look around for a few more days to see if I couldn't find a better choice.
Of course, since Bonnie and Clyde were real people, you can tell the story again without it technically being a remake of the first movie, which was nominated for ten Oscars and won two. Even still...

This is lame and makes no sense. My mom drove her on new years eve in the valley and said she was nice, but shes still Lizzie McGuire to me!
I think Hilary Duff would be an excellent choice, for the part, she is incredibly versatile actress and an amazing person, Hollywood always type cast young stars, and some will never get the chance to play major rolls. Sometimes great rolls produce a change for that actor that creates a transformation from a child star to a major player. Give um hell “Hilary” “Did someone say (Oscar) I think this just might be her finest hour.
Aure you kidding me? "Bonnie & Clyde" was unique to the '60s in many, many ways. The first film of the "modern" era IMO.
Perhaps an historically accurate portrayal of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow and their lives and times. But a remake of "Bonnie & Clyde" no way. Can't be done!
Isn't there any real talent in Hollywood any more or have the corporate hucksters destroyed it?
Second commenter, you are Hilary Duff, aren't you? Come on out and show yourself, sweetie. You fool.
