Three 'Bloody Valentine' Clips, Minus the 3-D
Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 3:14AM
One immediate drawback I can see about these clips for My Bloody Valentine 3-D
is that they aren't in 3-D. I mean, we can't really accommodate that yet, so if you'll just pretend the pickaxe is coming right at you, then it's perfect.

At first, I thought this was a stupid movie to remake. Released in 1981, My Bloody Valentine was typical of that time in the genre: Everything was ripping off Halloween and Friday the 13th, with a faceless killing machine stalking kids. Most of the films that fell into that category had zero personality, and Valentine was no different.
But this update offers something a little different. Clearly, this movie is more about the experience for the audience than anything else. The 3-D gimmick could pay off in a big way if the movie's the least bit fun. And in order to be the least bit fun, it has to have some personality, which would put it ahead of its predecessor right there.
We've got three new clips, compliments of Movie Web, so check 'em out to help you decide whether or not it's worth wearing cheap plastic glasses for 90 minutes.
