Theater Shooting Cancels 'Notorious' Weekend Screenings

A shooting at a screening the new Biggie Smalls bio-pic, Notorious, has forced a Greensboro, North Carolina theater to cancel all scheduled showings of the film through this weekend. Though police could not and would not say whether the shooting of 32-year-old Clive O'Connor was in any way related to the film, over 700 people in the theater at the time of the attack were evacuated.

Coincidentally or not, Jamal Woolard, the actor who portrays the fallen rap icon in the film, was also in the theater when the shots rang out.

"We were just standing there talking and we heard a 'Pow!'" said Jasmine Seapoe, who was waiting to see the 9:30 showing of Notorious friday night. "The next thing we know there were a bunch of people running in the opposite direction, and the cops came and asked us if we saw anything and started directing everyone to get out," she said.

No suspects have been taken into custody, and it was not immediately known what started the altercation.

Wait, the guy who stars in the film was IN the theatre when the guy got shot??? That's kind of insane...

Yeah, I had to read that twice myself. Apparently Woolard was there, though.
