Monday, January 19, 2009 at 5:05PM They Have Arrived! It's the 50's Sci-Fi Spoof 'Alien Trespass'
On April 3rd, we'll get to see the kind of movie Ed Wood would have endorsed: Alien Trespass. Unlike a lot of science fiction movies that push the technology and visual effects forward, this one appears to be moving backwards, hopping in Doc Brown's DeLorean and traveling back to the 1950s.

These kinds of affairs can be very funny (The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra) or not worth the trouble (Battlefield Earth...wait, was that a spoof?). I'm a fan of satire in theory, but what qualifies these days is mostly bottom-of-the-barrel stuff thanks to the Movie movies. So let's hope Alien Trespass is at least smart enough and funny enough to be worth the effort.
Here's the new poster and trailer for the film, which stars Eric McCormack, Robert Patrick, and Dan Lauria:

Reminds me of what Burton was trying to do with Mars Attacks! But, to your point, if this is a spoof, the trailer alone is already better than the Movie movies.
don't look like a spOOf to me
