Clooney Headed Back to 'ER'

Entertainment Tonight reports that George Clooney will throw on his doctors scrubs once again for a final appearance on ER. It's been rumored for some time that Clooney could show up in one of the series' last episodes.

Clooney's career took off in the mid-1990s starring as Dr. Doug Ross on the critically-acclaimed NBC medical drama, which is saying goodbye on April 2nd after 74 whopping years on the air. That sounds about right. It's close to 74 years, right?

ET Online sources say that Clooney is filming his scenes this week, although it isn't known which episode they're for.

NBC recently granted the show three more episodes, movie the series finale to the first Thursday in April. That episode will follow an hour-long retrospective, but with all the characters who have come and gone over the years, an hour may not even be enough.
