The Truth About 'True Lies 2'?

I'm not sure how much stock I put into it yet, but Tom Arnold says that we'll see a True Lies sequel when Arnold Schwarzenegger is through governating. The comedian and actor tells StarPulse, "If all goes as planned, the day Arnold (Schwarzenegger) leaves office we will again team with Jim Cameron and do a comedy. Jim says it might not be called True Lies II, but it will be fun." However unbelievable that may sound, there are a few things about this that fly: Before Schwarzenegger became Governor of California, this film was beginning to pick up steam. Apparently, James Cameron has had a script for years (or at least, there are years-old reports of a script that Arnold had approved), and as Arnold explains, all the principals have remained in close contact over the years, with a sequel a common topic of discussion.

"True Lies was my first real movie experience, and we've all stayed close, which I've realized, fifty films later, is very unusual. I love those guys. The only role Arnold has done since he became Governor was a cameo with Jamie Lee Curtis in The Kid and I, a movie I wrote and produced."

There are a ton of factors here that might prohibit the movie from happening, as Tom Arnold says, "as planned," like Cameron's intense schedule and other offers Schwarzenegger may have at the time. But I think everyone involved has wanted a sequel for a while, so making it wouldn't be too big a leap of faith to take. And if it does happen once Arnold is out of office, it would be about two years from now. I'd like to see it, personally, if for no other reason than to give Cameron a lighter project and a change of scenery from this year's Avatar.

Tom Arnold and Arnold Schwarzenneger were a great comedy team. I'd love to see them work together again. As long as this isn't "Jingle All the Way 2" it should be a blast, because Arnold Schwarzenneger and Sinbad?

I like the idea of a true lies sequal, Tom Arnold and Arnold Schwarzenneger were great together in that movie. I hope they come back together for a second 'true lies' movie.

I can only PRAY that a sequel happens. True Lies was one of the best all around movies of ALL times. I can watch it over and over again.

This would be awesome! I loved True Lies, in fact I am watching it on A&E right now! It's at the part were the Gov shows up flying the Harrier Jet (sp?) to save his daughter hanging off of the crane, "Help me daddy!!!", she says. He says "JUMP Dana, NOW!!!". Then to the terrorist, "YOU'RE FIRED!!!". More Doris and Boris please!

Besides, Simon has been in the van for 15 years Harry! He is sick of being in the van!

Arnold & Arnold are great together! I love these guys together! Jamie Lee Curtis (the Activa lady) too!

And I loved Jingle All The Way!!!
