'Wolverine' Re-Shoots To Mean More Deadpool?

It appears that the recent Wolverine shoots taking place in Vancouver - much to the surprise of everyone who thought this thing was already in the can - might have had less to do with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and more to do with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). IESB has learned that "Reynolds was a busy guy in Vancouver" because so much of the footage was shot to beef up his character's presence in the film. That's great news for fans of the character (and Reynolds), who are anxiously awaiting a rumored Deadpool spin-off from the Wolverine spin-off. There was never any hiding the fact that Fox was shooting additional scenes (or re-shooting existing scenes) in Canada, and in fact, Hugh Jackman wrote an e-mail to fans saying not to worry about the quality of the film, which is common with late re-shoots, because this was always planned from the beginning. Fox didn't have an immediate comment about the Deadpool rumors, and there's no e-mail from Jackman floating around today, however, it makes perfect sense for a brand that keeps expanding into new and compelling directions.
