Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 8:45PM Chrysler Revs Up 'Terminator Salvation'
Terminator Salvation will be in theaters in four months, and it will be driven by Chrysler. That's right: Chrysler, which just received $4 billion in government money and may ask for $3 billion more within the next couple of months, has put some of that money (your money) into product placement for a science fiction movie.

Incidentally, nobody bailed out Hudson or Packard. Those car companies went under when they weren't competitive. But here's Chrysler crowing about its involvement with the film. "This spring, Terminator 4 comes out and we will be one of the sponsors," Chrysler director of media Susan
Thomson said in a presentation at the Automotive News World Congress. "We have a following with the
Terminator movies and we are going to continue with that."
They do? I never made the connection between Terminator and the awful products Chrysler has put on the road for the past 25 years. Reuters reports that the auto manufacturer has slashed 36% of its work force, taking the number of blue collar and white collar employees to the company's lowest level since 1934.
But they've still got enough money (your money) to sponsor summer blockbusters.

Everyone should just put their taxes on their credit cards this year...think about it, the government gave our money to the banks, so we might as well give that money right back to the government...It's perfect!
