Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 2:40PM Nazi Zombies Coming to America! IFC Inks 'Dead Snow'
I was happy to read that one of the success stories from Sundance this past week was Dead Snow, the Norwegain zombie movie/horror flick/dark comedy about Nazi zomies that have their sites set on a team of young medical students vacationing in the mountains.

IFC picked up the film Wednesday, and on Saturday night, The Hollywood Reporter confirms "interest was high enough that people were turned away" from the film's screening at The Egyptian. IFC jumped at the chance to distribute the film in the U.S. and in Canada after being rather quiet at Sundance to that point.
In a press release, IFC's Jonathan Sehring praised Dead Snow director Tommy Wirkola, saying, "Tommy is a talented new filmmaker in world cinema, and we look forward to helping introduce him to U.S. audiences."
It is believed the film will be on IFC's 2009 schedule, so look for undead Nazis in a theater near you soon.
If you haven't seen the trailer, check it out; it's quite a trip. Appropriately, it's Red Band:

How come you dont attend Sundance?
$$$, primarily. But I've been there and didn't care for it that much. Cold and crowded is not my bag.
