Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 4:59PM Jackson Amazed By Marvel's Short Arms, Deep Pockets
Samuel L. Jackson is singing the same tune about his work as Marvel's Nick Fury, the character he played in a brief Iron Man cameo. That tune? "Hit the Road, Jack."

Now, it's been reported that Jackson is upset about the money Marvel has offered him to play Fury again. We don't know if that's a one picture deal or a contract to appear in several films, but since Iron Man was the first of about a half dozen movies pointing towards The Avengers - a film in which it was believed Fury would play a more significant role - you'd have to think negotiations weren't just for 30 seconds in Iron Man 2.
But sitting down with IGN (via Worst Previews) for Afro Samurai, Jackson doesn't seem too upset, although he seems to be surprised that Marvel can barely keep its electricity on. Yeah, how is this company not making money?
In other Iron Man 2 news, the field is getting crowded with villains (usually a bad sign), with Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, and Emily Blunt eyed as the evil trio. But Rourke was reportedly lowballed, and Rockwell said at Sundance he's keeping his fingers crossed that it pans out, which makes me wonder if that's a money issue, as well.
