Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 2:05AM Roundtable: Pitt, Downey, Langella, Hawkins, Rourke, Hathaway
I'm officially hooked on the roundtable interview. This awards season, we've really
been lucky: Some of the year's top directors talking shop, some of the most celebrated actors and actresses
comparing notes, and now an extensive question and answer session with Newsweek featuring Brad Pitt, Robert
Downey, Jr., Anne Hathaway, Mickey Rourke, Sally Hawkins, and Frank Langella.

The questions are all over the place, and so are the answers. That Downey, he's a rambler. You can spend
about 45 minutes watching all of these, and it's certainly worth it. Brad Pitt rarely does interviews, Anne
Hathaway isn't asked about the craft that often, it's a good chance to find out more about Sally Hawkins
(the one non-nominee in the group, unfortunately), and if you want to watch a guy command a room, look at
how much respect and deference is paid to Frank Langella.
So, kudos to Newsweek, David Ansen and Ramin Setoodeh, and enjoy the fireside chats:
You won't find this on the videos, but at the end of the transcript, Frank Langella points out, "I'd like to say, for the record, I'm the oldest male at the table, and the only one who didn't get up to go to the bathroom."

These are so great and fun to watch. Thank you for bringing them into our world...
Allow me to echo Rick's sentiment and add that for all the hard work you put into this site Mr. Boyd, you rock!
