Robert Rodriguez Might Reboot 'Predator'
Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 3:50PM
Talk of a Predator remake is nothing new, but associating Robert Rodriguez with
it is. And Bloody Disgusting has learned that Rodriguez' Troublemaker Studios will be producting a new
version of the Arnie flick for 20th Century Fox.

This is a remake that doesn't bother me, frankly, because Predator was good back in the day, and with
the technological advancements of the past 20 years, it could be even better. It's essentially a B-movie
that got lucky. It really doesn't have any business being as entertaining as it is, so, yeah, bring on the
remake.
Oh, and here's something: Apparently we're in for multiple predators in the remake. The word is that the
group of commandos - one of whom, if you'll recall, ain't got time to bleed - will try to stop a
"mysterious race of vicious monsters."
Bloody Disgusting points out, and I concur, that it probably won't be a project Rodriguez directs, simply
because of his workload. Is that a crowd I hear chanting "Uwe! Uwe!"? No, probably not.

Oh, now this is a Danny Trejo/Machete vehicle if I ever saw one!
Must not let hopes get up, must not want a movie with predators in it that doesn't suck. *Crosses fingers*
