'New Moon' Update for Teams Jacob and Edward

We haven't had a Twilight update in a while, and now there's news that concerns both Team Jacob and Team Edward.

Taylor Lautner played Jacob in the first movie, but there has been plenty of discussion that the 16-year-old simply isn't enough of a wolfman or a lothario to take the character where he needs to go next in the story. But "insiders" say that Lautner will probably be back for New Moon, telling Cinema Blend, "We're not even looking at anyone else."

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg repeated that sentiment to Entertainment Weekly. "Everyone would love to keep him. We all think he's the loveliest person ever." Mother Theresa was unavailable for comment about that last platitude.

So Team Jacob is taken care of. What about Team Edward? Well, don't worry: Robert Pattinson is back, at a sum of more than $10 million. But in order to be part of New Moon, Pattinson has had to drop out of the new film Parts per Billion, that was to feature him in "a steamy bathtub scene" with co-star Olivia Thirlby.

I think they could be making a mistake bringing Lautner back. I sense a Sofia Coppola in Godfather III moment coming with him, not that he's not a nice enough kid. But that's actually part of the problem.

yeah, taylor is a horrific actor.... truth be told, i'd rather be in a bathtub w/robert pattinson than see taylor return as jacob.

Talor Lautenr is coming back as Jacob?!?!?!? YES! He is the perfect Jacob! Honestly, I am a HUGE twilight fan but, if Taylor was replaced i probably wouldnt go and see the movie. But He is back! so i will go and see the movie!

I didn't particularly like Taylor, but then again, I'm not exactly Team Jacob either...haha. I still think it would make the films suck to replace him, whether he can act or not. I mean, now he's Jacob, that's just how it is. Replacing him would ruin it.

I really like jacob ( the character). Taylor is not fit to do the part. he is in the whole of new moon, so he better have done acting classes.
