Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 5:37PM First Look at Summer Glau on 'Dollhouse'
After I wrote last weekend that Dollhouse was
on the ropes, two things happened. The
first is that this past Friday, the show was up over 20%. That'd be fantastic if Dollhouse weren't
the lowest-rated scripted drama on TV or if it wasn't coming off its lowest ratings ever, but even still,
it's OK news.
The second was a Tweet I received wondering when Summer Glau, late of The Sarah
Connor Chronicles, was going to do her guest spot on Dollhouse, and the answer is that it's
happening in a couple of episodes. Here's a look at Glau on the set from Entertainment Weekly (by
way of Dollverse).

Not the best resolution, but you'll take it and like it.
So what does it mean that we're two episodes away from Glau's first appearance on the show? Well, Fox has a
very expensive contract with MLB to air the American League Championship Series and the World Series, so
it's not clear yet when that first episode will air. The next episode, titled Belonging, will air in
two weeks. Beyond that, we don't know.
However, expect a few promos highlighting Glau's first appearance (the episode is called The Public
Eye) to air during baseball coverage over the next few weeks. There are currently no World Series games
scheduled on October 30th, but weather delays are always an option, especially if any of these games happen
in New York. Plus, during the post season, Fox generally runs repeats of its shows, so even if there's a
window within the World Series, the super hotness probably wouldn't air until November
6th.

I hope we are giving her a role not playing crazy girl or robot, she plays them well but I dont want to see her niched there forever.
I love Dollhouse. I thought the promo after last weeks episode said she would be appearing in the coming episode (a week from now?) It was a week ago, though, and I have a bad memory. But it did promote her, which hopefully gives the show much better ratings.
