Watch Nine Clips from 'Law Abiding Citizen'

Law Abiding Citizen is one of three movies hitting over 2,500 theaters next weekend, along with Where the Wild Things Are and The Stepfather. Paranormal Activity will also expand on Friday, so counting the three former number ones that will still be doing good business in a week's time, that's seven big movies to choose from. So why was there only one wide release this weekend? You got me. But Law Abiding Citizen should hit the crowd looking for lots of explosions and actions pretty well, regardless of the way the box office numbers plays out. The Gerard Butler-Jamie Foxx combo has potential, too, and in fact, I think I'd rather prefer a movie that let them do great dramatic work without the pyrotechnics. Perhaps we could see that down the line. In the meantime, we'll get Law Abiding Citizen, which follows the civilian vigilante blueprint and is directed by F. Gary Gray.
