Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 4:22AM New 'Up in the Air' Clip with Clooney and Kendrick
It's very likely that the long-term effect of Up in the Air won't be related to George Clooney or director Jason Reitman, but rather co-star Anna Kendrick. She's been in a couple films, even apart from her low-on-the-totem-pole stuff in the Twilight series. I though she was really memorable in the Rocket Science, a movie that otherwise wasn't, but Up in the Air promises to be her breakout role.

Kendrick has already received a mountain of praise from the film festival press, and she just won the Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival. So see, you don't even have to life a finger to annoint Anna Kendrick as a next big thing; the entire film community is doing it for you.
Here's a brief clip from Up in the Air, which is a little verbal sparring between Kendrick and Clooney, and it also tells you why George spends so much time in planes and airports.
After being shifted around a couple times following the success of the film in Toronto and Telluride, Up in the Air is now set to open December 4th, expanding by year's end.

Dec 4 just seems farther and farther away every time they give me something new to see.
