Stallone Thinking of Getting Back in the Ring Again
Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10:39AM
Back in 1984, "Weird Al" Yankovic released a parody of "The Eye of the Tiger" called "Theme from Rocky XIII" in which Rocky Balboa owns a deli:
Try the rye or the kaiser, they're our special tonight
If you want, you can have an appetizer
You might like our salami and the liver’s alright
And they'd really go well with the rye or the kaiser

It wasn't very close to the truth then, when Sylvester Stallone had only made three Rocky movies, and for a long time it looked like he'd stop at five. However, Rocky Balboa is probably the second-best movie in the franchise and did very well, so naturally, Stallone might make a seventh flick.
"I know I'll probably make a fool of myself if I make another Rocky film after turning 60," Stallone to Germany's Tele5 (vis worst Previews). "I also know there's gonna be a lot of criticism. Even my wife says, 'Don't do it. You're embarrassing the kids'. But I told her, 'If I don't try I'll be a really unhappy man.'"
Where could the film possibly go, though? I don't know what the story could be, and on top of that, he left us with an very good parting shot already, especially considering how average at least three of the other movies are. Hopefully, Sly will listen to his kids, who seem to have the common sense Stallone is missing.

Stallone, Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts team up to start a boxing camp...however, the neighboring MMA camp thinks boxing is dead. Hijinx to follow and the parting shot is Stallone with one hand in the air and the other hand grasping tightly to his walker. Would this work?
Mickey Rourke's gonna play his rival boxer who also quit a long time ago, but this is a rematch of their lives.
