Friday, October 23, 2009 at 5:27AM Week in Review - More 'Star Wars,' 'Scary Movie 5,' 'Hurt Locker'
We're about ready to go headlong into Awards Country. The Oscar heavies are right around the corner and as we
saw this week, some nominations are already out (and they favor our top film of the year, The Hurt Locker). But there's no
rest for the wicked, as they say, so there are sequels to discuss, comic book movies to ponder, and the acidic jabs of Bronson
Pinchot to consider. It seems the star of Perfect Strangers has a thing or two to say about Tom Cruise and Denzel.

Also, the weirdest rumor of the week: Star Wars. If you're old enough to have lived through the first couple of movies,
you'll probably remember there were supposed to be nine films in all, that the Star Wars trilogy was just the second act of
an enormous story. We got the beginning of that story, and now there's talk - although at least some of it has already been muted by
LucasFilm - that the final three films are being discussed. Curious.
So here they are, the headlines:
The Hurt Locker leads Gotham Awards nominees
Spider-Man 4 =More Bruce Campbell
Very hip new rehearsal footage from the musical Nine
Uh huh: Scary Movie 5
Angelina, Leo may team with Ridley Scott for Gucci murder movie
Star Wars...nothing but Star Wars
J.J. Abrams open to Shatner in Trek sequel
Apparently, you don't cross Bronson Pinchot
A better Sherlock Holmes trailer
