The Lizard to Be the Only 'Spidey 4' Villain?

There has been about as much speculation about the villains for Spider-Man 4 as there was disagreement with the use of villains in Spider-Man 3. Would we see one great villain or another parade of bad guys, the sort of thing that helped ruin the last entry in the series. Market Saw cites a source saying we've only got one villain. And that would be good news.

Jim Dorey writes that the dynamic in the new film will be Spidey vs. The Lizard. That's it. Now, The Lizard is the alter ego of Dr. Curt Connors, played in the past by Dylan Baker, who just confirmed this weekend he'd been contacted about the fourth Spider-Man, but didn't offer any details about how big his role would be.

If he's back as Connors, then this should be a lot like Willem Dafoe in the first film. Sam Raimi took his lumps for the third movie, and deservedly so; it just got away from him. But he wants more Bruce Campbell in the next film - that's a good sign - and if the unconfirmed news from Market Saw holds out, the it indicates that Raimi has listened to the fans. Not enough to make that fourth Evil Dead movie, but that's a different story altogether.

I think it's great if we go back to the one-villain arc. More comic book movies should employ that method again. But is it the right villain?

One villain please, your allowed the creation of next villain as side story (like 2 face should of been)

Wrong villain used, please fix.
