Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 12:28AM New Extended Trailer for 'Avatar'
There's a new trailer for James Cameron's Avatar. It premiered in theaters this past weekend and I don't know why it hasn't shown up online in that form yet. But Trailer Spy has a high quality version of it that features what appear to be Thai subtitles.

It's longer than the one that debuted back in August, and it deals a little more with the humans. The action scenes still look good, although for Cameron's sake, I hope there's a lot of them. The rest of this story may not be worth the kajillion dollar investment. I preferred the first trailer, but now I'm thinking this could go either way; it might be sensational or it could be a misfire.
The 3-D is one of the selling points for Avatar, but another is the visual design of the aliens. We see more here than we have in the past, and it just doesn't sell me. They look better in still shots than in motion. Perhaps the 3-D will make all the difference.
I dunno...I'm put in the mind of listening to a concept album: It could break all the rules, but where's the single?

Sorry, but if this doesn't sell you, you are dead inside. One of the best trailers I've ever seen!! Period!!!
I mean its dances with wolves
or last samuria
wait wait we have Sigourney Weaver and aliens, and space marines.
Mr. Cameron you told that story alreayd =P
Umm amazing! I'm sold. I thought the first trailer was a little disappointing but i was still excited to see this. This trailer is amazing! It shows alot more emotion than the 1st trailer. The 1st trailer i think there was one line spoken in the enitre 2 1/2 minutes. Looks like another great story from Mr Cameron. I saw the 1st trailer in 3D and it looked alot better than most of the 3D movies i've seen as far as the depth of the 3D. I mean Up was just not worth paying the extra money for the 3D because u could literally take your glasses off and watch the entire movie and couldn't tell the difference. I think this trailer will finally get the buzz going that this movie deserves because it's going to be another masterpiece from Cameron. Totally stoked!!
This sheds more light on the story, which I find much more interesting than the teaser trailer with no dialogue.
As long as Avatar is better than G.I. Joe I'll be happy - see, keep your standards low you'll be more likely to enjoy the movie
