Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 8:23PM Second Trailer for 'Boondock Saints II'
About a month ago, we got our first look at Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, a sequel roughly a decade in the making. Lots of excitement is brewing for this one, a film that made all of its fans with the home video release. After all, the first film made less than $50,000 in theaters.

But once it hit DVD, the thing became a big hit for director Troy Duffy and he took his sweet time getting the sequel off the ground, but now it's back and we'll see it in theaters on October 30th. Returning are Sean Patrick Flannery, Norman Reedus, and Billy Connolly, but he's also got Peter Fonda this time around. We'll see which Fonda shows up, I guess.
The other trailer was Red Band, so this one has been sanitized for your protection. It's also got a few new things, I think, so that'll make it worth watching.

yes it took him quite awhile, but it's still surprising this is even making the loght of day. Check out the documentary 'Overnight' It shows how big the saints should have been, and how Duffy fucked himself over by pissing off the Weinsteins and being an overall douche bag.
Sorry, Logic (or is it Faulty?)
The Troy-Duffy-is-a-douchebag theory doesn't work. It assumes that all directors and producers in Hollywood are Mr Congeniality, which they aren't. The excellent quality of the first Boondock Saints shows that Duffy had no reason to be coy.
History is full of talented people who were supposed to keep mum and bow to their superiors, but didn't.
And we are better off for it.
I shall enjoy this and I think I'll even see it in the cinema as a homage.
