Friday, October 30, 2009 at 9:47PM Another Head-Scratching Trailer for 'The Road'
I don't know why the trailer for The Road is so troublesome. The first one (and a subsequent touch-up) had way too many explosions and the latest one goes too far the other direction. So, whereas we had a trailer that looked cool but was a bit misleading in terms of the tonr of the film it was promoting, now we've got a traielr that needs a little more oomph.

That's especially true for The Road than other movies this season because of last year's delay and the so-so festival reactions. The last thing director John Hillcoat is a trailer that makes this movie seem like a can-miss. Well, that's what he's got, in my opinion. It's not bad, exactly, but it's not good, either. We said the same thing a few months ago when the first trailer premiered and confused us just as much by its approach.
As always, we're interested in your opinion about this latest look at The Road. Take a gander:

What do you think? Is it enough to get people interested in The Road again, or does it it move you the other direction?

Dear Colin.....
this time you're wrong. this trailer is ( . ) ( . ) 's.....
The music is off... but it looks good. I just read the book, no way it lives up to that anyway.
Was it me or ist it
1: STV Music
3: That terrible scream from hundred other movies @ 2:10?
I agree with the observer... This is definitely an improvement upon the last trailer, and leaves me with quite a bit more confidence that this movie can differentiate itself from other apocalyptic films.
i liked it. never read the book and this peaks my interest a bit more. definitely could have done without that ridiculous scream however.
