Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 1:21AM Three More Sign Up for Damon's 'Adjustment Bureau'
Matt Damon's next movie (following the long-finished but delayed until next year
The Green Zone) is The Adjustment Bureau, which writer-director George Nolfi adapted from a
Philip K. Dick short story. We already knew that Emily Blunt was co-starring in the film, but now we've got
three other names to add to the cast.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Daniel Dae Kim (Lost), John Slattery (Mad Men), and
Michael Kelly (Law Abiding Citizen) are joining the film, which will shoot this fall in New York.
Kim will play "a mysterious staffer" at the Bureau of Adjustments, while Slattery will be one of the men in
charge. Damon is a congressman who realizes that his relationship with Blunt's ballerina has some added
friction because of the work of the Bureau.
As with most thing Philip K. Dick, don't expect this one to go from A to B as easily as possible, but he's a writer who's just made for movie adaptations. They don't always get him right, and it's a pretty high bar, but when it they do, it's always worth the price of admission.
Of course, I believe the work this is based on is a short story, so there will be some obvious alterations by Nolfi to build a two-hour movie. Hopefully, the essence doesn't get lost. I like the casting. You'll recognize Kelly's face more than his name and the other two guys don't need any introduction.
Apparently, this one is still on course for 2010, but probably not before fall.
