'Esquire' Names Kate Beckinsale Sexiest Woman Alive

I don't know if you can say Kate Beckinsale is the sexiest woman in the world or not, but I do know it's a lot harder to say she isn't. Esquire thinks the star of Underworld and the recent bomb Whiteout is the fairest of them all, at least for this year, and has put together a monitor-melting video crowning the magazine's new queen.

Hard to believe Beckinsale is a 35-year-old mother and smoker, and it's even more difficult to figure out why she's not a bigger star. I've been saying it for years. She's more talented than a lot of women who top lists like this and she's stunning, no question. I guess it's just one of those things. But after Pearl Harbor and the first Underworld, it's been a slow decline, even though she's done some pretty interesting stuff, though no real "must see" performances stand out.

Until now, of course, and the new Esquire video.

Also, how good is it to hear Jet again? Great debut album but, like Beckinsale, they kind of slipped off the radar for a while. I've thought Beckinsale would make a good Barbarella, but I get the feeling they're going another direction with that.

Nice choice, she is beautiful, hot, and has a classiness sexiness to her that other women in Hollywood dont...

Go Esquire!

Bloody great choice, totally agree with the choice. There were alot of people saying what has she done but I can't understand how that has anything to do with being sexy. Sexiest woman alive, I think so!
