Weekend Recap: 'Zombieland,' Miramax, and 'The Hobbit' Stays at MGM

It was a surprisingly lively weekend full of headlines, in case you stepped out and - oh, I dunno - had a life. But as you get back in the swing of things, we have our usual Monday morning rundown for you. I guess the biggest news is either that Zombieland stomped a mud hole in the rest of this weekend's box office competition or that Disney did the same thing to its struggling Miramax brand, slashing its staff as we head into 2010. So long, Miramax.

We also got some updates on a famed horror franchise, good news for The Hobbit, and a cool new trailer for the George Romero remake, The Crazies.
