Friday, October 9, 2009 at 12:42PM New Trailer for 'Toy Story 3' Arrives Online
A little sooner than expected, here's the new trailer for Toy Story 3, which as we know, will be released in 3-D next summer. As well as it will do, there is history to think about: You could make the case that Toy Story and Toy Story 2 are among the absolute greatest one-two punches movie history, and I will make that case.

Outside of the first two Godfather movies, Alien and Aliens, and Star Wars and Empire, there really aren't too many originals and follow-ups that are as good and consistent (or even as important) as the previous Toy Story films. Maybe Lord of the Rings, although I'm not a big believer in the second one and the films were made concurrently, so it's not exactly the same degree of difficulty as launching new productions every time.
Certainly, Toy Story represents two of the greatest animated films ever; they've both made my top five list. So a third one, while it will no doubt be welcomed with open arms, also has a lot to prove, I would think. Because as few good two-movie combos as there are, there are even fewer great trilogies.

Back to the Future 1 & 2
Colin, I'd love to read exactly why and what you love so much about the Toy Story movies. I've never quite understood why people love them so much. I don't hate or even dislike them; I just don't quite get why they're so beloved.
The lastest Toy Story movie is the normally outstanding result of Pixar and Disney collaboration and it's not only humorous, but additionally touching in such a sincere way that it is heart felt instead of sickening. The Toy Story 3 movie is directed by Lee Unkrich, the co-director of Toy Story 2 and Discovering Nemo, so you are able to properly assume that Unkrich understands the characters nicely sufficient to enrich the script alongside Michael Arndt and John Lasseter along with he makes them credible and consistent. The story from the third movie is not only as funny since the very first two, but also so thrilling, daring and saddening that you'll not think the sudden changes in your feelings and moods as the story goes along.
